BOOKING POLICY

This Booking Policy outlines how bookings, meetings, payments, rates, and project timelines operate at Henri Strauss Productions (“HSP”, "HS | Productions", “we”, “us”). By making a booking, requesting a quote, or confirming a project, you agree to this Policy.

 

MEETINGS & CONSULTATIONS

Meetings booked through this Site are free and used to discuss your project, clarify scope, and determine next steps.

Meeting dates and times may be adjusted where reasonably needed.

A project begins only once a formal quote is approved in writing.

RATES & GENERAL BILLING TERMS

All rates are subject to:

  • project scale

  • scope of work

  • client requirements

  • timelines

  • location

  • market rates

  • resource needs

 

International rates are available on request and may differ depending on project scope, deliverables, market, and location. All bookings require a minimum 50% deposit. Work does not begin until the deposit is received. Travel, accommodation, per diems, equipment, and specialist crew are billed where applicable. A facilitation fee may apply to small tasks requiring 2–4 hours of expert work and not a full production day.

HOURS, WEEKLY RATES & OVERTIME

Standard production conditions apply:

  • Full production week: 6-day week

  • Standard production day: 10 hours

  • Acting/performance day: 11 hours (industry standard)

  • Hours listed on the Site are technical placeholders for structure only. Final hours are defined in your quote.

 

Overtime, night shoots, weekend work, and public holidays are billed at standard South African industry rates, typically:

  • Overtime: 1.5× hourly rate

  • Night shoots: 1.5× base rate or as specified by industry norms

  • Public holidays: 2× base rate

  • Turnaround violations: billed if applicable to the job category

 

These may differ slightly depending on the department or industry sector (film, event production, theatre, corporate, etc.). Your quote will specify the exact application.

SERVICE-SPECIFIC TERMS

DIGITAL & ONLINE SERVICES

Digital and online services include design, editing, content creation, and social media management.

  • Design services include 3 free revisions. Additional revisions are billed separately.

  • Editing, social media management, and influencer work use client-provided content unless otherwise arranged.

  • If your project requires photography, videography, advanced shoots, or crew, these are quoted separately based on scope.

THEATRE PRODUCTION

The full production fee includes standard pre-production requirements such as:

  • rehearsals

  • tech week

  • dress rehearsals

  • opening night

(Additional performance weeks, extended runs, or ongoing maintenance are billed separately)

EVENT PRODUCTION

Services may include:

  • planning

  • logistics

  • vendor coordination

  • run sheets

  • stage management

  • event management

(Décor is charged separately or subcontracted as needed)

 

Pricing depends on:

  • festival/event size

  • number of days

  • number of stages

  • complexity

  • crew requirements

  • anticipated foot traffic

(Festivals with over 5,000 attendees or multi-day events are quoted individually)

 

ACTING & PERFORMANCE WORK

All acting and performance work is billed via my acting agents, according to industry usage, medium, market, and production scale.

MODELLING SERVICES

Henri models primarily for creative collaboration and portfolio content. Rates apply only to:

  • commercial usage

  • brand campaigns

  • licensed material

  • advertising

  • retail or media usage

(Personal use or creative collaboration is handled case-by-case)

CHANGES TO SCOPE

If the scope changes after approval — such as expanded deliverables, additional edits, new service requirements, extended hours, or creative redirection — a revised estimate may be issued.

Timelines may also adjust accordingly.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

Meeting cancellations are flexible, but please notify us as early as possible.

​

For confirmed projects:

  • The 50% deposit is non-refundable.

  • If work has begun, you may be billed for work already completed.

  • If HSP must reschedule due to emergencies, illness, or operational constraints, you will be informed promptly.

 

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

To keep the project running smoothly, clients agree to:

  • provide accurate information and required materials

  • communicate promptly

  • give clear reference materials

  • review and approve drafts on time

(Delays in communication or material delivery may impact project timelines)

 

RIGHT TO DECLINE OR TERMINATE PROJECTS

HSP may decline or discontinue a project if it:

  • violates legal or ethical guidelines

  • contains harmful, explicit, discriminatory, or abusive content

  • involves harassment, intimidation, or misconduct

  • repeatedly changes scope without agreement

  • becomes unmanageable due to delayed feedback or unrealistic expectations

  • falls outside our services or capacity

(Any unused fees (if applicable) will be considered fairly and case-by-case)

DELIVERABLE OWNERSHIP

All creative materials, designs, edits, and production assets remain the intellectual property of HSP until invoices are paid in full. You may not use, publish, or distribute draft or final deliverables before payment is completed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

​

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

HSP is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including:

  • loss of income

  • loss of opportunity

  • delays caused by third parties

  • unforeseen production issues

  • force majeure events

(Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the project)
